Connect Travel Planner to Claude or ChatGPT to plan trips in a conversation and save them as a shared itinerary your whole group can use. You need a Travel Planner account (sign in with Google — it's free).

Connect in Claude

  • From the directory: in Claude, go to Settings → Connectors → browse the directory, find Travel Planner and connect.
  • Or add it as a custom connector: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, with the URL https://travel-planner-seven-fawn.vercel.app/api/mcp.
  • Travel Planner opens: sign in with Google, check that the consent screen says you'll be sent back to claude.ai, then click Allow.
  • Works on Claude for web, desktop and mobile.

Connect in ChatGPT

  • Find Travel Planner in ChatGPT's app directory and connect.
  • Travel Planner opens: sign in with Google, check that the consent screen says you'll be sent back to chatgpt.com, then click Allow.
  • ChatGPT asks you to confirm before changing or deleting data; choose "Always allow" for the action to run.

What it can do

  • List your trips and read their daily schedule, stays, to-dos and bookings.
  • Create a complete trip from a plan you've agreed on, with a link to the trip and an invite link for your group.
  • Change a trip's name, dates and notes.
  • Add, change or delete activities, stays, to-dos and bookings.
  • Add fellow travelers to the member list, or rename members.

The assistant can only access trips you belong to, with the same permissions as your account, and asks before changing or deleting anything.

What it can't do

Delete a whole trip, change bill splits, remove members or change member roles. Do these on the Travel Planner website.

Example prompts

  • "Plan a 5-day Tokyo trip for 4 friends in late March and save it to Travel Planner"
  • "Show me my trips in Travel Planner"
  • "Add a ramen dinner at 7pm on day 2 of my Tokyo trip"
  • "Give me the invite link for my Tokyo trip"

Disconnect

Remove Travel Planner in Claude's or ChatGPT's connector settings. To revoke all authorizations, email travelplanner.go.help@gmail.com.

Known limitation: Claude Code

Travel Planner can't be connected from Claude Code yet. Claude Code needs an authorization server that supports Client ID Metadata Documents or dynamic client registration, which we keep disabled for security. Claude for web, desktop and mobile are not affected.

Troubleshooting

  • The consent screen shows a red warning that the domain isn't a known ChatGPT or Claude domain: this sign-in would send you to another website. Don't click Allow unless you started this connection yourself.
  • Sign-in failed or the tools don't appear: disconnect in Claude or ChatGPT and connect again.
  • The assistant doesn't use Travel Planner: make sure the connector is enabled for this conversation and mention "Travel Planner" in your prompt.
  • For anything else, email travelplanner.go.help@gmail.com.
